Meltwater Farm is a 59-acre, diversified regenerative farm run by Marisa Barone and Ian Nichols located in Argyle, NY. We grow Certified Organic vegetables year-round on 3 acres with two passive-solar high tunnels; raise a flock of sheep on pasture for meat and wool; and grow perennial crops like asparagus, raspberries, grapes, and orchard fruit. We sell our food at the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market, Schenectady Greenmarket, wholesale to local food producers and a local rural food access organization where we also donate food regularly. 


The 2025 season will be our 9th season farming as a team and our 3rd season at Meltwater Farm. Our goal is to grow accessible, abundant and highly nutritious food with a low environmental footprint and to cultivate a vibrant community along the way.
